Color sprinklesBefore I start sticking to the title, few points on my current life status.

  1. I love “The Catcher In The Rye” Its brilliant. You HAVE to read it.
  2. I’m also bored as hell, watching Friends and Ellen on TV (whenever it comes)
  3. I have pre-college blues, even though mine starts next week.

Okay, so we’ve all seen various brands of TV being advertised on TV. And they all have pretty much the same thing to say, like our TVs have excellent clarity which is often followed by the images of 2 TVs, one their brand and another the rival (or unnamed) And their TV always has clearer images.

But my point is, you’re seeing those crystal clear images on the TV that’s being advertised on your TV, which basically means, your TV is capable of showing high quality images too! I mean true, there are minor differences in the clarity of images from one brand to another. But, seriously saying that their TV enhances clarity and showing those ‘clear’ images on peoples’ TVs is a stupid idea.

‘Nuff Rambling for now.

iconator_81974403b92ca32b5a67efe2d6bd16abThe title explains it all I believe, but I am going to attempt a post all the same.

Stuff you should (not really) know;

  • My braces came off!
  • I still haven’t gotten into a college.
  • Most of my life consists of sleeping, eating and being almost criminally lazy. All this is to be blamed on my sudden acquirement of huge amounts of time and nothing to do.
  • I’m bored sick.

That’s about it.

14760In other news, I recently read this brilliant book by C.W. Gortner called “ The Last Queen“. Its about Queen Juana of Spain who was more popularly known as Juana La Loca (Juana The Mad). It offers an insight into her life.  She’s  the (less famous) older sister of Katherine (Catalina) of Aragon, the infamous first wife of King Henry VIII.

The book is written in rich, almost lyrical prose. So much so, that you feel like you’re there, seeing, smelling and sensing all these things. I love his descriptions. Juana’s character has been well- researched (at least it seems that way, I’m no expert on the subject) and you forget that a man is behind this narration which is written entirely in Juana’s point of view. The book makes you feel.  The author makes you fall in love with his lead (I did).

All the characters are well-written and have dimension. She (Juana) comes across as a strong-willed, intelligent woman, far ahead of her times who has been wronged by the men in her life. I do not believe that Juana Of Castille was actually mad. I think she was driven to do the things that she did.

In short, A very well- written book and absolutely cannot be put down! Must Read.

I’m reading Emma by Jane Austen right now and I absolutely love it! ( More of the bubbly, over-flowing enthusiasm for you there. 😉 )

I think that’s about all that I can bore you with right now.  Here’s a quote I really love  from a movie I’ve never seen but really, really want to.

Go on, lean in. Listen, you hear it? – – Carpe – – hear it? – – Carpe, carpe diem, seize the day boys, make your lives extraordinary.

-John Keating

-Dead Poet’s Society

See you later!

EDIT: Apparently, I do have something to say.

“..Tant pis pour elle..”.So much piss for her.Wait, what?

And that, folks, is what I did yesterday(the translation, I mean). Not just that all day, like on loop but..close enough. So, apparently? Tant pis is’ too bad’.Nothing to do with, ah, ahem.

Before you declare me beyond medical help and OMG, RUN FOR YOUR DEAR LIVES!, I should tell you I was reading Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina- the words didn’t just float up to me, in which case I’d have had to agree with your ‘RUNnnn..!’ decision. It’s a good book too -otherwise of that little shock it gave me- although a little soap opera-esque.Still, I think I like War and Peace better although I read it ages back and don’t really remember much of it.I did watch the movie recently though.. ( Yeah, I know, stand me in a museum and call me a fossil! I tend to prefer older movies and adaptations because you get to see actual good acting, it’s more theatre-inclined than stuff that goes on the big screen these days.I mean, people are on there not just because ‘OMG! He’s so cute!’.OK, know what? I’ll call ya when I’m selling the novel.Although...OK,I’m zzzzippin’ it!)

Despite my ‘promise’, you should’ve seen more art on here today but for the fact that one sheet is,ah, shredded (let us have a moment of silence) and the other is to be.Definitely not for human- or any other, for that matter- eyes.*Grimace*

So while Fuzzylogic abandoned me, and xlucidsanityx went shopping (AGAIN!) somewhere in London I got to hmmmm… ahh.. let’s see… nope…uummm… shall we say, DO NOTHING?!

Hey, have you ever heard that saying, ‘Life, she be cruel’ ?
